October 16th!! A Day to Celebrate!!!

You might be wondering what is so special about OCT 16th... Well, this is the day a young couple ages 20 and 22 decided to publicly make sacred vows to love each other for ever. I was the young, excited, scared and hopeful bride. As I made my walk up the aisle many thoughts raced through my head... am I doing the right thing??? What AM I doing??? I hope I will be a good wife... etc. When I reached the top and looked into the face of my future husband I knew I made the right choice... for better or worse this was the person I wanted to share all of lifes ups and downs, twists and turns, good times and bad and so we have. We have grown together, lost each other at times, lost ourselves at times, learned from mistakes, had many adventures together and lived in 5 different states together and have had many many many good times together. I have to say my husband is my best friend. He doesnt always agree with me and will tell me the truth of how he feels, he has the spiritual wisdom I need sometimes. Now that we are celebrating 29 yrs together I have to say that our love has grown even stronger because of all the "adventures " we have had as we move on to being "empty nesters" well sort of... Its been a 29 year adventure and I cant wait to see what God has in store for the next 29 years and with TJ by my side it will surely be a fun adventure!!!! Love is not even a strong enough word for how I feel towards my husband right now. :) Tonight take your love and celebrate together, for this is the day that God brought 2 people together to make promises to each other forever and its always a good day to celebrate LOVE!

 

 

 

 

September 11th-- an important day!!

Yes September 11th Is an important day... ITS My Birthday!!! I LOVE to celebrate life! Life is so short that many of us dont stop to celebrate it!! I am not ashamed of getting older, however I AM fighting Looking older... for me getting older really does mean getting wiser. Maybe some will disagree with me but I feel as I have gotten older I know my priorities better and what I want out of life is much clearer than before. Yes... I do want to life comfortable-- not super duper rich-- but comfortable to be able to do some travel and see family and do fun things with my family. I am not as afraid as I once was about life and its ups and downs and twists and turns... I know that God has a plan for me and will take care of my needs and all will be alright. I know where my talents lie and that if my heart isnt really in it then I shouldnt even do it anyways. I have also learned to accept people as they are-- everyone is having a hard time-- give them a break. People make mistakes and they can and many times they do change. Change is the one thing in life you can really count on. People can let you down but God will not let you down. I love my family and friends.. My birthday started out with friends and family around me and ended with my family around me--perfect. It was low key this year but next year is the BIG 50... so watch out party animals--I will be ready to GO!!!!!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Since it is now the beginning of OCTober, I thought it would be the right thing to do to at least say a few things about Sept. Sept is always a good month for me-- because its MY birthday month and I am always up for celebrating LIFE!!! However-- I am going to begin with Labor day because somehow I was able to put this pics on here-- something I really want to learn! I have to get a handle on all this technology. I also think Labor Day is the best thing to discuss right now because I have been LABORING!!! I am in a new part of my profession--NOW-- due to whatever( I am not going into the reasons), I am NOW a HOME Health Nurse-- and although I love the patient care--I really do hate the driving and the paper work--BUT I do know I can do this!! I am stretching my brain so much and I know this is just yet another adventure in this thing we call life. I have faith that God has put this in my life for a reason and I am trying to keep positive. Soooo, For Labor Day Our family went to Daytona Beach-- we all love the beach and stayed in a nice hotel-- relaxed, ate, relaxed, read, listened to music, listened to the waves at night and of course went to the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and rode on the ferris wheel. It was really the perfect thing for all of us-- and now we are ready for fall. :)

My Birthday and Beyond

September 11th-- My BIRTHDAY!! Every year I get the same reaction about my birthday-- ever since-- 9-11--Ok for the record--I didnt have any control on when I was born OR the terrorists-- and while I do feel a twinge of guilt every year I do try to celebrate another year that I am alive! This year I am the big-- 49-- yep-- 49-- NOT 50-- thats NEXT year!! Soooo, for me--this is a year to celebrate-- my last year to be young!! I plan on many get togethers with friends and loved ones!! This year my sweet husband took me to "Night of Joy' at Disney to see "Cast and Crowns", then on Sept 11th-- I started the day out with a birthday breakfast at Mimis cafe with just a few of my special friends and of course my family--I missed those of you that were not there! I had a big day planned but ended up getting comfy and sitting under a shade tree by the pool and taking a much needed nap and swim-- listening to recordings of the ocean on my i phone and reading from my Kindle and realizing how spoiled I am! My husband made me the perfect steamed shrimp for lunch and veggies. We later went to see "Vampires Suck" the movie, came home and had "Happy Birthday Cake" A Princess Cake-- complete with pllastic princesses. I wish I was with my friend Kathleen in Utah as her grand daughter wouldve loved my plastic princesses :) My husband also gave me the most beautiful Angel (art) pictures for our home-- I LOVE them--My daughter Nicky gave me-- a wonderful Happy Birthday sign and some really nice magnet boards for my scrapbook room and Summer gave me 100.00 to spend-- yeah--shopping!!! I got many other things from family and friends and thank you soooo much-- Roberta my sister gave me a gift card for Walmart so I am gonna have a great time shopping--one of my favorite things to do!!! I got many Happy Birthday messages on facebook and beyond and soooo appreciate them-- they really warm my heart and make me feel so loved. Thank YOU everyone you all are special to me and made me feel so loved!!!!!

I AM BACK!!!

After quite awhile of being away... since Facebook got allllll my attention I have now decided to get back on and begin blogging again... pics are on the way!
Tomorrow is 9-11--- yep a BIg day-- MY birthday!! Its my last year of being Young. I can feel the youngness in me fading away each day-- but I do have ONE MORE YEAR!!! Time to take advantage before I am ready for a life of constant naps and rocking chairs... yep this year I am going to be.... and I cringe.... 48--- Yep 48!!! Ive been married for 28 Years-- Most of my adult life!!! Ive been someones mother for that long as well!!! WOW!! Where did my youth go???? I am soooo ready to get the most out of my last year of youngness and stay tuned I will have lists of goals and plans on how I want to do just that! Hold on-- its gonna be a wild ride!!!
