Chinese New Year

According to my calendar Jan 26th is(was) Chinese New Year. Sooooo, I decided it would be fun to celebrate. I talked TJ into getting chinese food takeout for dinner and we had Summer and Joey over for our little celebration. We watched a hilarious movie fitting to the New Year--Joey picked it out and it was a winner--we all laughed the night away. Even though we are not Chinese--we still had a terrific time. Who knows? Maybe next year I will throw a big Chinese New Years party! As always... scroll down for pictures... You will find my fortune cookie and My fortune there!

Introducing Chloe

I am not sure I gave Chloe a proper Introduction. Chloe is my granddaughter. She is a beautiful Beverly Hills chihuahua given to my daughter Nicky. Nickys' good friends from LA found they were just too busy for little Chloe and wanted her to have a good home. The dont have to worry anymore as Chloe is Loved very much by all of us here. She is quite the Lady..very quiet and cuddly...unfortunately she will sleep wth anyone...guess her mother didnt teach her any better.
She is always stylish and needs her designer bags. Her eyes look like she has permanent eye liner, her hair is always in place. She is the sweetest thing and we all love her. I cant wait to get little outfits for her. Of course her picture is down in the photo gallery...just scroll down.

Florida snow

Ok...For all of my Utah friends thi may not seem like much...but it was 35 degrees here in Florida and We had a teeny bit of frost--but in our family we call it Florida snow..we even had a teeny tiny snow ball fight--ok we flicked frost at each other. Hey it really WAS cold. Scroll down to see just How much Florida Snow we got! Brrrrrr.

Valentines Socks

Every season I feel the need for something new...one of those things is socks(well except for the summer time and then I have to have my toes done). Soooo, I just HAD to show off my latest Valentines socks! Yep I know I am a tad bit early but I LOVE Valentines and I had an itch to go shopping and little money--BUT I could afford Valentines Socks. Plus I was inspired by one of my blogging friends. Arent they cute.??? Scroll down to see the pics. :)

New Water Heater

A New Water Heater--Yeah!!! I usually love to get new things...but hate surprises. this was one BIG surprise--ughhh. TJ told me in the morning that the laundry room was flooded--the water heater had broken in the middle of the night--he found the laundry room flooded and put towels all around. Thankfully we have friends in the water heater Biz and was able to get help right away and of course a new water heater. Look at the pic--isnt is beautiful? Yep a beautiful 600.00 surprise--ughhh--guess I am not getting a new stainless steel fridge any time soon--dang it. Oh well...I can just look at my beautiful water heater...ahhh.

Stacey's Baby Shower

Fun! Food! More Fun! More Food!! Thats how I describe Saceys Baby shower. Alhough all the "tower 6" events are just like this--especially if Lisa plans it(Hey Lisa ever thought of being a party planner???). I brought my daugher Summer along for the day. Maybe this will inspire her to bring some little ones into the world for me to spoil--haha! Anyhow, I had no problem finding the place and there was no need to eat before hand--the food was delish--and all my Tower 6 buddies were there--I love those gals--thanks so much for including me too. The games were alllllll fun--Pin the sperm on the egg, clothes line game, changing the diaper (Summer and Suzan--what a good pair) and the "breastfeeding" game--where my water broke--hilarious and my breasts never looked better--maybe I should try balloons more often--lol! We had such a terrific time and didnt want to leave--but was also exhausted from all the fun. We also had to take home some food and our family loved all of it--esp the tamalies. Thanks Lisa for planning such a wonderful party. Thanks Stacey and Gustavo for providing us an excuse to party! I cant wait till the little one arrives-no matter what he/she will be sooooo cute!!!!!
I will try to post one more video from the party! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!

inaugeration

I was so excited to see the inaugeration this year. Yes, I am one of the ones that voted for OBAMA. In fact our whole family voted this year for OBAMA. I watched all the debates and while I dont agree with everything he is about, I do feel he can make a change. At least I hope so. I LOVED watching the inaugeration this year--the music(Aretha Franklin--whoohooo), the prayers--very moving, the poet, and OBAMA speech--although some parts were a bit scary to me--everything in this election and whats going on in our world and country right now is scary. The economy etc. I was happy to hear him mention others' beliefs. I feel he will and is open to all people. We are a very diverse country and yet we still have so much to learn about each other and to learn about how to love one another. I am all about peace and love. As for change...well I dont like it BUT it is necessary sooo I will learn how to deal and it will make me a better person(hopefully). I have to admit--I do not like going without, sacrificing etc. I DO like and need to serve others and I know I could do more, we all could and can do more for each other. I hope the hope and happiness I felt yesterday will stay with all Americans--at least for this year. This was THE hardest election for me to vote in..my decision was NOT easy...I prayed, read, listened and still hope I made the right decision. In the end I feel we all want the same things--happiness, peace, enough money to support our families comfortably, we want friendships, love, safety, inclusion and to be important to someone. I am so proud to be an American where I can talk freely, and have friends with different beliefs (political and religous)that teach me all the time(thank you for that--you know who you are). My father served in WW2 and he never really spoke about his time in the army--serving, but I can tell he was proud to be an american and serving was "just something you did" as my father would say. I have the flag that was draped on his coffin and folded by military when he passed. My father was for equal rights for everyone and looked forward to the day when we would have a black president and a woman for president. My father stood for love, peace and respecting all individuals. I feel he wouldve been proud of the inaugeration yesterday.
I thought of him all day. I felt his happy spirit. I hope this blog does not offend any of my family and friends. I love all of you. Together we all make this beautiful country strong. This is the most wonderful country on earth. We are Americans and we can make it through anything. I hope God will bless all of my friends and family. I know I have some friends that have strong feelings about the Other candidate--please do not hold this blog against me. Mostly May God Bless America. :)

HEADACHES

I have had the worst headaches for 2 weeks straight AND missed church today due to a whopper. I woke up with it--ughhhh. Took 2 extra strenghth tylenol and went right back to bed. Summer came over to go to church early this am--I could hardly make it out of bed--she co0nvinced me to eat something--and then gave me a neck massage and hand massage. Speedy even tried to help by licking my face all over. Finally, I took 2 excedrine migranes and drank 2 bottles of water and went to bed--nope headache still there--I kept saying "maybe I will make it to RS. NOPe. Took another hot shower and rinsed with freezing cold water--sometimes that actually helps--ok now its mild but still there. I think its time for a blessing. sigh. I have a baby shower to go to later today--we will see if I make it.

My New Years Resolution

Hi Everyone,
Ok...Besides the regular resolutions I make every year--lose weight, organize my house etc. This year I have a new one--To become Technologically savvy. Bear with me as I learn how to post blogs, download my pics, learn how to use my ipod itouch and facebook. By this time next year my goal is to NOT have to ask my family(mostly TJ and Joey) how to do things for me. I hope I wont be calling both of them constantly with my whining of "oh I think I lost ALL my pictures--what do I do NOW!!" Or basically "What the heck?" Soooo, today I am feeling a bit like the scarecrow--If I only had a brain! I have a million things to do today and yet I have spent soooo much time trying to figure all this crazy stuff out. Ok..I am off Until later tonight when the wizard comes home and can give me a brain...have a nice day!

Happy New year

Happy New Year everyone! This is going to be the best year ever!!!! We made it through 2008--family intact. I decided to start this blog so family and friends can see all the fun things we are all doing--and maybe the not so fun. Our Christmas season was happy, peaceful and fun. We didnt do as much shopping as usual--BUT we sure had fun--ice skating, having fun times together, movies, visiting friends, and...well you can look at the pics. New Years Eve brought our newest family member--Chloe...she is an L.A Lady..Nickys sweet little girl--yep I am a grandma--see pics Nicky adopted her from her good friends Greg and Ricky. We celebrated new years right here at home. The neighborhood had a party and we had our own little family party--playing Joeys Dance Revolution from the wii--fun, food and family--spells FUN!! Anyhow--hope y'all enjoy the pics. I cant wait to see what 2009 has in store for everyone. Its all about attitude.
